Man Needs Every Word!
"...Man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live." —Deuteronomy 8:3
"...Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." —Matthew 4:4
"...man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." —Luke 4:4
God's Word is Everlasting!
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." —Matthew 24:35
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." —Mark 13:31
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." —Luke 21:33
Preservation of Scripture
"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a
furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O
Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
Most Christians will believe that God inspired the original autographs
of the Bible, but what is not always believed or understood is God's
preservation of scripture. It has been said that inspiration without
preservation is a divine waste of time. If God inspired the penning of
the original manuscripts, but let His word become corrupted as time
went by, then there would be no point in inspiring the writers of the
Bible in the first place! God is all powerful, not only can He preserve
His Word, but He has promised to do so!
The Importance of Preservation
"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by
the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is
as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The
grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word
of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the
gospel is preached unto you." —1 Peter 1:23-25
The true Word of God is without corruption and is everlasting! It
very important that we have God's pure, preserved Word because
it is "the word which by the gospel is preached unto you."
It is by the very Words of God that we are born again
into His kingdom. I believe a person can be saved using any
version, just as a person can be saved by reading Christian
literature or watching a Christian movie. The issue is it doesn't end
with the Gospel message. The only way one can grow and be
prosperous in the Lord is by His Words. Man shall not live by
bread alone but by EVERY Word of God. A limiting factor in your
spiritual growth is not having an "every word" Bible. If you use a
New King James version than you have an "almost every word"
Bible. The thing is, not only is it missing over 2,000 words
compared to the KJV, but it has made over 100,000 word
changes! These changes alter scripture, pervert God's Word and
remove key doctrines of the Bible. Here's an example:
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew
not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save
them that believe. [1 Corinthians 1:21 (KJB)]
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did
not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the
message preached to save those who believe.
[1 Corinthians1:21 (NKJV)]
