True Bible

"Seek ye out the book of the LORD, and read." —Isaiah 34:16

Step #1 - Pray and Seek Thy Father

The first step as a Christian to find God's preserved word is simply to pray to Him and seek Him. He

desires of us to go to Him for all our questions, concerns and issues (Deuteronomy 4:29; Psalm 53:2;

Hebrews 4:16). We must diligently inquire of God as to the location of His pure words, and must begin

with faith in His commands (Hebrews 11:6). It is an interesting predicament to be searching for

God's word by beginning with that very word. This is not counter intuitive though, as the Holy Spirit helps

 us to know God's word, and besides Jesus said Himself, "My sheep hear my voice . . ." (John 10:27). Every

 version I am aware of has a verse promising preservation in the New Testament. By these, we should

recognize and trust that God has preserved His word and it is available for His saints to follow and live by

 (Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4).
